A time lapse video showing public bikes returned at stations every hour in January, 2013. Every day, hundreds of people use public bikes for short trips around the city of Washington, D.C. We took a month's worth of bike trip data and plotted them on a map. Each dot represents a bike returned event at a station, while the size corresponds to the number of bikes returned at the specific hour. The city pulses with activity every hour of every day: during weekdays, bikes are intensively used around 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, while in weekends, the bike usage lasts till mid-night. Some preaching testifying and praise and worship. But mostly praise and worship and preaching.
